In this article, I'll discuss my 2024 Maverick XLT, AWD with 4k towing package.
Bed Storage Solutions
The Maverick’s bed may be compact, but with the right accessories, you can maximize its utility:
Tonneau Cover: A hard or soft tonneau cover protects your gear from the elements and keeps it out of sight when parked. I went with a retractable hard carver by Real Truck. The
RealTruck Retrax PRO XR Manual Retractable Tonneau Cover w/ T-Slot Rails is very durable and has T-slots for additional accessories such as racking or rails. It is also lockable.
Utilizing the T-slots on the bed cover, I installed Real Truck HD Universal Bed Rails These are very heavy duty and have many areas to easily mount accessories.
Fishing-Specific Accessories
I added 6 fishing rod holders. Railblaza Rod Tube Holder. Link below
Bike Mounting
I have my setup configured for two bikes.
Front fork mounts witch attach to the cross bars. Link below.

Kayak Hauling
This small truck has a lot of versatility even with a 4' bed length. I can easily transport my 10' kayak with the addition of a bed extender. Link below.
I took it one step further and added a small winch to load and unload the kayak. A major back saver.
Link to winch below. The winch is powered by a small 12v deep cycle utility battery pictured in the silver bag in front of the winch.
Towing a Boat
With a 4K towing package and AWD, the Maverick can easily pull my 2000lbs. Tracker. The rear mount camera makes it easy to back onto the trailer receiver.
