Building A Cabin In The Woods (Part II) Out House Build

This a fun ssmaller project that turned out better than I thought it would. I built this in the middle of COVID when the lumber prices sky rocketed and much of the general construction lumber was unavailable. My goal was to build the smallest functional outhouse possible with all the features I wanted.

I decided to go with a standard 4x8x8H building. Pretty simple.

You would be suprised how much you can fit into a small space (32 Sq. Ft.)

I'm using a camper toilet which works great. Portable Toilet Camping Porta Potty

I ran 120 AC and 12v DC with a 100 watt Solar Panel.

The 100 watt solar panel is attached to the outside of the out house and it powers the lighting, fan, and the pump for the shower. The 120 AC power comes from the main solar system from the cabin and can also run off the generator.

120 AC also runs the outside water pump for the garden hose.

Here is the hot water system. The hot water is heated by propane. Joolca HOTTAP V2 Nomad Kit

This the smallest shower stall I could find. Just fits the space nicely ans is plenty big enough for a comfortable shower in the woods. Durastall Shower

Next week's blog will be Part III. My work shop build.

Thanks for stpping by and reading my blog...
